Hope HIV 10/10 Challenge

For those of us at the Worship Central London conference, you'd have been inspired by Phil Wall and the guys from the amazing charity Hope HIV. They do a fantastic work in raising up and releasing young leaders to make a stand against injustice and poverty.

On the Saturday night of the conference every person there was given a £10 note as part of the 10/10 challenge (£21,000 was given out that night). 3 options were set before them.

1. If you felt you needed the money more than others in need then keep it. 2. If you didn't want to engage with the challenge then simply return it. 3. If you wanted to try and invest the £10 in order multiply it then go for it. Dream big. We've been hearing already of people using their £10 in cool ways to try and raise even more money in order to make a difference to the lives of many. The Worship Central team have been making a plan - soon to be revealed. We'd would love to know what others are doing with their £10. How are people investing it. Remember it's about raising money for an amazing cause.

I didn't go to it but a guy on intern at my church did (he's 18 or 19) and we're doing stuff like selling cards and cakes and we're also going to have a youth auction off to the church so people can buy one of the youth and that youth has to do jobs for them. Not particularly looking forward to that! Edit: He's a user on here by the way

When myself and four of my friends went to Spring Harvest Minehead in April HopeHIV also gave out LOADS of £10's there too and we each took up the challenge. We have recently finished our fundraising. At the age of 16/17 we found it very enjoyable and lots of fun. We held a Cream Tea event that raised over £320 alone and a Coffee Morning that raised over £350. One of the five of us also did a sponsored walk that raised over £100.

In Total we made £935.54!!!!!
We were totally amazed, we prayed so much that we could make the £500 but we did not expect over £900 !!
